Well this week has been a handful. Both kids have been sick with 101-102 degree fevers, runny noses, and a cough. Yesterday, Timmy laid on me for almost 4 hours. That's UNHEARD OF! He is not a snuggler, and not that I should be happy that he has been sick, but it has been nice to snuggle my boy. Kaiya has been surprisingly self-sufficient while I have been snuggling Timmy. She is actually the opposite of him- she doesn't want to snuggle as much when she doesn't feel good. I'll be interested to see if any of that changes as they get older. I feel like Kaiya is going to be the kind of teenage girl that locks herself in her room and just listens to music and blocks me out. (You heard it here first- remind me that I "called it" before she was even 1).
Hopefully they'll be ok for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I don't think we are going to change our plans, we will just have to keep the kids away from other kids- although I'm fairly certain that this sickness came from other kids in the first place, so they probably already had this bug.
Hopefully anyone reading this has a good Thanksgiving! :)

What A Morning!
I need a nap! This morning was hectic! Kaiya literally had poop up to her neck. I feel SO bad for her. She must have been so uncomfortable, and probably had a stomach ache :(
Since Timmy has had a cold, he has been extra whiney on top of normal toddler whinery.
BUTTTT... Timmy had fun making a Thanksgiving card with stickers and crayons. His fine motor skills continue to impress me, as he was peeling stickers off of the paper and placing them on his card. He has also been becoming more interested in coloring, which is great!
I found an ounce of time to finish Kaiya's "LOVE" painting with her foot prints and hand print. She seemed to really like the feeling of paint being brushed onto her hands. Timmy wanted his hand painted too, so it looks like this may be an afternoon activity. Don't be surprised if you see pictures of painted handprints on the walls :)

I took this picture from my phone, as Timmy was putting the phone up to my ear so I could talk to him. It was precious. This is the first time he has actually used the phone in a conversational manner. He would say "Hi mom. Talking mommy. Having fun. Hi mom!" It was so sweet. I'll have to get it on camera ASAP!

Kids with Colds
The past few days have been exhausting. Timmy and Kaiya have colds. Enough said, right? They're not completely miserable, so that's good. The constant boogers and coughing has them exhausted and the stuffy noses are keeping them from getting any good sleep. They both HATE when I wipe their noses so I have to hold them down to get any snot off their faces. Luckily, they are both still playful and mostly cheerful.
Kaiya loves to play with anything Timmy is playing with. She climbs right up on these blocks and grabs them to play with Timmy. He isn't the biggest fan, as he is in the "Everything is mine" phase. I love this picture of her playing with Timmy's car, too. It looks like she is holding it like a phone... sorry baby girl, but there's no one on the other end of that call ;)

First Day with a Blog
Well, my first day of blogging has come to an end. I can barely keep my eyelids open. I'm so tired! I had a fun, but trying, day as a mom. Timmy and Kaiya both have little colds, preventing them from sleeping "like babies", but we managed to get out and do some things today.
Our lovely morning walk consisted of a toddler bike ride to the creek while I pushed him along and tried to teach him how to steer the little tricycle. All while carrying Kaiya in my arms because I didn't think we'd be out long enough to make getting the stroller out worth the effort.
After Tim got home from work, we went to the mall to make some returns. Returns mostly meaning one successful return and one snobby cashier that hated the world. She's lucky I was feeling polite and didn't give her the same attitude she gave me.
We stopped in Pole Position to check out the go karts. Kaiya and I were not impressed- she's too low in the stroller to see any action, but Timmy was into it. There were only two karts racing, but I suppose a boy likes his toys. I don't see the hoopla. This is a picture of Kaiya and I vlogging about not caring about go karts (check for the vlog on Friday).

Well, that's that. Beddy bye-o. Headdy down-down. Nighty night-o!
